Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theater announced Wednesday that BitPay Wallet would accept Dogecoin payments to digital gift cards. This announcement came after a huge response to a tweet poll.
Dogecoins community, which is known for being passionate about adoption initiatives, took to Twitter in large numbers to support the integration of the asset within the theaters payment options. Users can now buy up to $200 worth digital gift cards every day after the success of this initiative. The cards can be used in theaters throughout the United States to redeem them.
Aron was delighted by the attention he received. His post had over 6,000,000 views and 140,000 votes, which included notable Doge fanatics Elon Musk and Mark Cuban. He claimed that his viral tweet was his most retweeted and most replied to tweet.
This Twitter Poll is open to all opinions. AMC will accept Bitcoin, Etherum and Litecoin for online payments by year-end 2021. Many people on Twitter suggest that we accept Dogecoin. Is it possible for AMC to accept Dogecoin?
